Lift Up Forehead Lift
Botulinum-toxin injections can treat mild forehead or glabellar lines, but the effect lasts only about six months. Patients seeking longer-lasting improvement—or whose deep folds or significant sagging no longer respond to Botox—are good candidates for a surgical forehead lift.
This procedure involves making an incision along the hairline between the temples, lifting the sagging skin to smooth out wrinkles, and removing the excess skin. In addition to reducing forehead wrinkles, it also elevates the eyebrows and upper eyelids, resulting in a more youthful overall facial appearance.
Ideal for anyone who feels they have…
- Forehead creases
- Horizontal forehead lines
- Frown (glabellar) lines
- Upper-lid droop
Procedure Details
An incision is made along the hairline between the temples. The forehead skin is lifted; excess skin is removed and the incision closed.
When necessary, the brows are fixated in a higher position and the corrugator or procerus muscles (which create frown lines) may be partially excised.
